Brought up in a world of art, painting, photography, music and travel, I have been a keen artist and photographer all my life. Some of my earliest and fondest memories of art and photography are of when I was 3 or 4 years old, in Paris. I loved to watch my mother painting and my father taking photos. I would marvel at the beautifully framed paintings and photographs they produced when they were done. It was a kind of wonderful magic. So, it seemed only natural that I would explore art and photography for myself.

Largely self-taught, and greatly influenced by my parent’s art, I began painting in oils in 1999 while studying Spanish and teaching English in Mexico City. I participated in my first group exhibition in Mexico in 2000.

Since moving back to Australia in 2002, I have been working on my various series of flowers in gouache and then acrylic, influenced by the batik of Malaysia, as well as a series of nudes in oil and acrylic. In 2004 I organised and participated in the "Diversity" exhibition, and in 2007 I organised and participated in the joint "We are Family" exhibition with my father.
